Over the years, K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. has undergone a tremendous amount of growth. In 1998, the organization’s growth took another positive step forward when the Food City Distribution Center, formerly Mid-Mountain Foods, became part of the enterprising company.

Located in Abingdon, Virginia, Food City Distribution Center serves as the company’s warehousing and distribution facility.

Similar to K-VA-T, Food City Distribution Center has experienced its own unique and dramatic growth over the years. With the 2006 addition of a new 174,000 square foot freezer, the warehouse complex now totals almost 1,123,000 square feet, making it the largest grocery distribution center in its geographic area. And just as the facility has grown in size, so has its commitment to providing quality service. So far in 2009, the warehouse shipped over 24,000,000 cases of product to Food City stores.
