Food City Donate $10,000 to Niswonger Children's Hospital


ABINGDON, VA (Thursday, March 7, 2013) – Food City recently presented a check in the amount of $10,000 to representatives of Niswonger Children’s Hospital.  The company contributed a portion of their Food City Exclusive Brand sales in area Tri-City locations from February 17th through March 2nd.  The presentation took place on Sunday, March 3rd during a three-day Radiothon hosted by Holston Valley Broadcasting Corporation Radio Stations, 98.5 WTFM, 95.9 “The HOG” WRZK, Classic Hits 102.7, FM94! WMEV, WKPT Radio & WUKZ 101.1.

Niswonger Children’s Hospital is located in Johnson City, TN and serves more than 200,000 children in a four-state, 29-county region.  It is home to one of only six St. Jude Affiliate Clinics.  The 69-bed children's hospital is staffed by pediatric experts who know, love and care about children and their families.  The goal of Niswonger Children's Hospital is to provide safe and child-friendly care that is centered on the patient and family.
