Abingdon, VA (Monday, June 4, 2012) – Company officials recently celebrated the opening of the new Food City Gas ‘n Go in Clintwood, VA. Located at the corner of Chase Street and VA 83, the station is among several off site locations now operated by the regional grocery supermarket chain.
“We’re extremely excited to be opening a Gas ‘n Go in Clintwood,” says Steven C. Smith, Food City president and chief executive officer. “Our loyal customers can now purchase top quality fuel while enjoying the added savings provided by their Food City Fuel Bucks.”
Food City shoppers earn 1 Fuel Buck point for each dollar they spend, 10 points for every ten dollars in Food City Exclusive Brand purchases and 50 points for each qualifying new, transferred or refilled prescription. For every 150 points collected, customers receive fifteen cents off per gallon, up to twenty gallons of fuel.
The Clintwood Gas ‘n Go is open seven days a week, 6 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. and features a large three pump station, complete with diesel fuel.
Headquartered in Abingdon, Virginia, Food City currently operates 105 retail food outlets in the tri-state regions of Southeast Kentucky, Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee, including 76 pharmacies and 75 fuel stations.
