Our Commitment to Recycling

At Food City, we know that reducing our environmental footprint is the right thing to do. That’s why we are committed to reducing the amount of energy we consume. Here are a few of the steps we have taken to do that:
  • Our new and remodeled stores are being equipped with fluorescent bulbs that save nearly 50% on energy costs.
  • Food City signs on front of buildings are powered by LED lights and are powered off when store is closed
  • Our locally grown produce saves 82,600 miles and 16,520 gallons of fuel each year.
These are just a few of the steps we have taken!
