Ultimate Chocolate Mocha Cake

Preparation

  • Bake off cake in two 8" pans according to directions.
  • Allow cake to cool completely.
  • Mix coffee with hot water.
  • Mix coffee with whipped cream.
  • Melt chocolate almond bark in a double boiler.
  • Cut the two 8" cakes into half, creating 4 - 8" rounds.
  • Place one round onto cake platter and spread a third of the whipped topping coffee mix on it.
  • Place a second round on top of it and repeat until the fourth round is placed on top.
  • Decorate the cake with the chocolate buttercream icing.
  • Press the semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips into the icing.
  • Drizzle the melted chocolate almond bark over the cake.
