Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cut bread into cubes and place in a large bowl.
- Chop the onion and celery.
- Remove stems from sage and chop.
- Place chicken broth in a small saucepan over medium heat to warm.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onions and celery, and sauté for 3 minutes.
- Add the walnuts and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add in the sage and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the onion-Âsage mixture to the bread.
- Lightly whisk egg.
- Pour the hot chicken broth and egg over the onion-Âsage, and mix well (until moist).
- Add in the cranberries.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add to a large casserole dish and bake for 40-Ââ€45 minutes, or until the top is brown and crusty.
