Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Coat a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray.
- Peel, cored and slice 5 red apples.
- Should yield about 5 cups.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar (firmly packed), flour, oats, margarine, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
- Blend with a fork until moistened (mixture should be crumbly).
- Layer apples in a pan and sprinkle brown sugar mixture evenly over the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
