Please join us May 17th and 18th for our annual tomato tasting event! From snacking tomatoes, to tomatoes that will add a little something extra to your favorite dish, we have it all.
Here are the varieties will be sampling this year:
Sweet Pop Tomatoes – These are a combination of refreshing sweetness and a thin skin. This bite sized tomato will release an explosion of juicy flavor that you just cant stop snacking on! The intense flavor is best enjoyed as a snack, but will deliver a sweet tomato flavor to any meal/recipe.
Sunburst Tomatoes- Golden Sunburst is a nice compromise for size, earliness, and color. A smaller slicer, quite early and a premium yielder. Flavor is pleasant- a bit acid as with most yellow tomatoes.
Sweet Cherub Tomatoes- Cherubs are salad tomatoes. They are bright, juicy and irresistible.
Cherubs make salads divine and are the #1 selling small tomato in the world.
Chefs Collection Tomatoes- These are a delicious mix of bite sized tomatoes. They include the newest varieties of tomatoes offering an array of different taste profiles. From seed to savory, this collection is sure to add a “wow factor” to your next recipe. These can be enjoyed as a snack or tossed in a salad or your favorite pasta.
Cherry Vine Tomatoes – On the vine cherry tomatoes are uniform in color and size, with a high sugar to acid ratio. Sold attached to their stems, they will continue to ripen in storage. These are an ideal garnish for appetizer platters, added to stir- fry’s or roasting whole on the vine. They are also perfect in fresh sauces when paired with garlic, summer vegetables and dried Mediterranean herbs.
Grape Tomatoes – A grape tomato is a class of tomatoes believed to be of southeast Asian origin, shaped similarly to the oval plum tomatoes but having the small size and sweetness of cherry tomatoes. Grape tomatoes produce small and typically oblong fruits.
