New Bristol, VA Curt’s Ace Hardware Grand Opening
Abingdon, VA. -
Friday, May 9, 2025.
Yesterday, Food City officials celebrated Grand Opening ceremonies for their new Curt’s Ace Hardware on Euclid Avenue in Bristol, VA. The new store will replace the existing location across the street.
“We greatly appreciate the support our loyal customers have shown our Bristol, VA Curt’s Ace Hardware location and we’re excited to provide them with a larger, newly remodeled store offering a wider product selection and additional services to better meet their needs,” says Steven C. Smith, Food City president and chief executive officer.
The company currently operates Curt’s Ace Hardware locations in Prestonsburg, KY; Morristown, Pigeon Forge, Newport, Erwin, Elizabethton, Gray, Piney Flats, and Ocoee, TN; and Bristol, Abingdon, Marion, Lebanon, and Galax, VA, with additional locations coming soon.
“Sadly, locally owned hardware stores are becoming a thing of the past. Having served in the grocery industry for 40+ years, I have seen firsthand how important a local well-run supermarket is to the community, and I think the same holds true for local hardware stores. Much like our Food City stores, we are excited to continue to grow and expand our Curt’s Ace Hardware family of stores,” says Smith.
Ace Hardware is known for their wide variety of top-quality products, including Benjamin Moore paints, Big Green Egg, Traeger, and Weber grills and barbeque accessories, as well as power tools, including both battery and gas-powered Stihl, EGO, and Milwaukee power equipment, YETI products, hardware, lawn and garden, a bulk propane filling station and other home improvement supplies.
Headquartered in Abingdon, Virginia, K-VA-T Food Stores (Food City’s parent company) operates 160 retail outlets throughout southeast Kentucky, southwest Virginia, east Tennessee, north Georgia, and Alabama.
