Friday, Dec 5, 2025.
Food City is proud to continue their support of the Annual Coats for Kids program sponsored by the Hamilton County Police Department and Fire Department with yesterday’s check presentation to The Forgotten Child Fund totaling $2,500.
The Forgotten Child Fund is made up entirely of volunteers consisting of Chattanooga Firefighters, Hamilton County EMS employees, Hamilton County Sheriff employees and other volunteer organizations.
100% of the funds donated benefit their mission that no child be forgotten on Christmas Day. The organization has expanded its outreach by distributing toys to children affected by disasters year-round. They also coordinate a Coats for Kids program, distributing more than 5,000 coats annually in collaboration with different volunteer groups. Last year, The Forgotten Child Fund brought Christmas to more than 13,000 children.
