Abingdon, VA. - Wednesday, Dec 17, 2025.

Food City and Dietz & Watson, a leading provider of premium deli meats and cheeses, delivered more than a ton of premium deli meats and a check for $2,250 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.

The donation is part of the company’s annual “Families Helping Families” program, now in its eighth year. This fall, the program ran in Food City stores, with Dietz & Watson pledging up to 10 cents for every pound of deli meats and cheeses purchased at Food City service delis.

Since its inception, Families Helping Families has contributed over half a million dollars in cash and product to local charities and food banks nationwide, reinforcing Dietz & Watson’s commitment to supporting communities through charitable partnerships.
