Food City is proud to continue our long-time support of Communities In Schools of Appalachian Highlands with yesterday’s check presentation totaling $25,000.

 

Communities In Schools of Appalachian Highlands (CIS-AH) surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. As a regional nonprofit, CIS-AH serves over 40,000 students in 115 schools across Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Every day, CIS-AH’s dedicated Student Support Coordinators provide individualized support for at-risk students and whole-school programming aimed at improving attendance, family engagement, and access to resources. Through trusted relationships, school-wide programs, and targeted interventions, CIS-AH helps students stay engaged, succeed in school, and build brighter futures across the Appalachian Highlands.
