Two local businesses have teamed up to offer free prescriptions to CrestPoint’s Medicare Advantage Classic and Elite plan members, along with providing community members the resources they need to make an educated decision when it comes to choosing their Medicare Advantage plan.

“From October to December, which is during Medicare’s Annual Election Period (AEP), we’ll have agents available in Food City stores throughout the region to help folks as much as possible,” said Sharon Dicorato, vice president of Sales and Marketing for CrestPoint Health. “Choosing a Medicare Advantage plan can be overwhelming, and we want to help people on Medicare make a choice that’s best for them.”

CrestPoint agents will be in Food City locations in Johnson City, Gray, Elizabethton, Piney Flats, Kingsport, Bristol, Blountville, Greeneville and Jonesborough. During AEP, Medicare beneficiaries can enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan or switch from a current plan.

CrestPoint is the only insurance company in the region to offer Medicare Advantage plans where members pay a $0 premium for their plan, a $0 copay for their Tier 1 prescriptions, and a $0 copay to see their family doctor.

For the second year in a row, Food City is one of CrestPoint’s pharmacies with preferred pricing, offering some generic prescription medications at no charge to CrestPoint’s Classic and Elite members.
