Food City Supports Mendota Trail
Abingdon, VA. - Thursday, Feb 18, 2021.

Food City presented a $5,000 check to Mountain Heritage on Thursday to assist with finishing the Mendota Trail Project. The Mendota Trail is a 12.5-mile hiking-biking recreational corridor between Bristol, VA and Mendota, VA. About six miles of the rails-to-trail project are now completed, including a five-mile-long corridor connecting Bristol, Virginia, to Benhams in Washington County.

Food City will be donating $5,000 a year over the next four years, for a total donation of $20,00
