K-VA-T FOOD STORES, INC. STATEMENT

At K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. the privacy and security of our customers is our top priority. We have security protocols in place at each location to help us identify fraudulent activity. We recently experienced an incident that may have impacted some customer card information. 

The incident only involved fuel pump #9 at Gas ‘N Go #662, located at 141 Towne Centre Drive in Crossville, TN. We discovered one unauthorized skimming device on that fuel dispenser. We immediately removed the device, contacted law enforcement (who took possession of the skimming devise), launched an investigation, and notified the card processor. None of our other systems were impacted by this incident.

Customers who recently purchased gas at pump #9 at the location above and swiped a card through the magnetic reader are encouraged to remain vigilant by reviewing bank and credit card account statements and monitoring credit reports.

The incident only involved fuel pump #1 at the Gas ‘N Go fuel center in Lenoir City, TN. We discovered one unauthorized skimming device on that fuel dispenser. We removed the device, contacted law enforcement, launched an investigation, and notified the card processor. We completed a thorough examination of all remaining Gas ‘N Go fuel pump dispensers throughout the company and no other fraudulent activity was found. None of our other systems were impacted by this incident.

Customers who used pump #1 at the Food City Gas ‘N Go fuel center in Lenoir City, TN between 7/25/24 and 9/12/24 and used a credit/debit card on pump #1 are encouraged to remain vigilant by reviewing bank and credit card account statements and monitoring credit reports.
